Davy Cowan - Life's Just Fine

“Life’s Just Fine” has been 4 years in the making. It comprises of 10 self penned tracks & 1 cover (Bob Marley’s Redemption Songs) The music is poignant and reflective, with subject matter ranging from Love, loss & loneliness, homelessness & displacement, with tales of a haunted Highland Hotel and an old piano convalescing in an old Village Hall. The songs are about everyday people and their situations. It touches on life’s trials & tribulations with more than a sprinkling of hope & belief in the Human Spirit thrown in for good measure and given our current Pandemic and the lockdown it will hit home with a lot of people.

The new album is available on CD (echopack) as well as all the usual on-line streaming & download sites.

Sometimes edgy & rugged...'like the tough and vulnerable gravitas of Johnny Cash with the pleasing feel of Tom Russell' (R2 Magazine Rock 'n' Reel)

If there is a harder working man around at the moment I’d like to meet him; if Davy isn’t playing a gig then he’s travelling to it! (

No doubt about it, Davy Cowan is a unique talent! (Maverick)

"The triumph of Working Man's Dream lies in Cowan's ability to perform personal songs that resonate with common experience"

R2 Magazine (Rock 'n' Reel)

While his fo Driven by his hard work ethics, 2020 is set to be another prolific year for Davy as he continues to map out a positive & creative journey through our ever-changing times with his own vibrant energy & passion! lk rock roots shine through – there’s also a nod to bluegrass and country – the lasting impression is of a storytelling songwriter at the top of his form regardless of genre (Hector Mackenzie, Inverness Courier)

Cowan's approach to song-writing is spot on — straight forward words and catchy tunes that soon have you humming along - fun, thought-provoking, original music - a fine musician (Bob Taverner, The Folk Mag Review)

You gotta hear this guy! He’ll feel like your long lost friend, you will feel like you know him, because Davy Cowan is authentic through and through! Wonderful artist, check him out! (Martin Stephenson, The Daintees)

– Davy showcased his unique voice that can only be described as a strange mix of Highland grit and Americana twang... he keeps his audience tuned in with short tales before moving on..... . Davy’s overall song-writing style is very straight forward and does not clutter it up unnecessary with flashy lyrics to show off his songs. What you get here is an honest man singing honest songs and the crowd reacting to it…honestly... (Celtic Music Radio)
